I grew out my beard during the summer of 2006. I did it because I wanted some hairy mojo for the E100. I kept it around through the winter, and came to be rather fond of it. Recently I have started to let it grow thicker and thicker. And it seems, the bigger it gets, the more I like it.
It makes for a great conversation piece (and a convenient spot to dry my wet hands). "So when are you going to cut that?" "What does your wife say about your beard?" "Don't you get hot with that?"
And so on.
The reality is that 99% of the time I forget it is there. I don't think it makes me hot (well, the ladies seem to think otherwise...ha!), it doesn't itch, and no, I don't know when I am going to cut it thank you very much.
But when I do cut it it will come off in stages.
First the chin will go, leaving a nice
Civil War look.
The burns will be next, leaving the
classic handlebar 'stache.
After that, I will trim it down a bit more until all that remains is the
Kip Dynamite.
But until then, Grizzly Adam is what you get.
