Not much to tell today so I have been digging through my photo archives and came acrossed some pictures that I would like to share with you. A few weeks ago, one of our great customers came in a ordered up a new Cannodale. Not just any Cannondale though, this guy wanted to be a little different. He comes from a BMX back ground, has a quarter-pipe in his garage, and already owns a 2005 Cannondale Prophet 800.
Mr. Bidwell, that would be his formal name, ordered up non-other than a
2006 Cannondale Chase 4. Urban assault machine, dirt jumping, ready for his not-so-typical (from my world) riding, and a single-speed to boot. If you know Mr. Bidwell then you also know that the Cahse is a great matchup for him.
Kerkove and
G-Ted were even nice enough to allow me the honors of assembling the Chase4. Thanks guys!!
The Chase 4 is a single speed version and only has a disc brake in the rear. A very simple and straight to the point setup. It also comes with 16 and 18 tooth rear cogs to match up to the 36 tooth chainring.
The color is 'Raw' with black decals and it looks pretty sweet in person. The Chase also uses an "unconventional" font for the decals which really sets it apart form the other Cannondales.
It definately has it's own look in the Cannondale family.
The Chase 4 comes with a Marzocchi Dirt Jam Comp. One of those weird looking "two-legged forks". I have heard mention from Mr. Bidwell concerning the installation of a
Lefty. That could be interesting...
It's a good looking bike. I would probably hurt myself on something like this if I tried to use it for it's intended purpose so I think that I will stick with the
Cannondale Rush 2000.
On another note, a big shout out goes to all of you who are making the journey to Arkansas this weekend for the
Ouachita-Challenge.

It sounds like it will be a good one.
