• Rollin'

  Tough day at the office yesterday which actually helped get some motivation to ride the rollers last night. Put in just a touch over an hour on them in my little cubby hole in the basement. Additional motivation arrived in the forms of Metallica, Slayer, Slipknot, and White Zombie. Quick tempoed music tends to keep the legs in spin mode a little better while inside.   Short post due to the insane amount of work to do today. Some genious approved for half of our department to be on vacation today. Brilliant!!! I won't go into details. • We live in Iowa, it snows here...

  Well we received just an itsy-bitsy little dusting of snow yesterday, about a millimeter or so. Just enough for everyone to mash the gas when leaving the intersection and slam on the brakes while stopping. Ice rink intersections means that the locals aren't able to drive in the snow and slippery conditions just yet. Go figure. It's as if everyone needs to relearn how to do it every year. • Day after

  As I stated yesterday, Rhea went in for her two month shots and a check up. Everything checked out really well and she is progressing great. She has doubled her weight since she left the hospital eight weeks ago. She weighed in at 10 lbs. 4 oz. yesterday. Her feeding time was at the same time as the appointment so she was pretty upset when we took her food away as the nurses walked in to give her the shots. • Shots

  Last month of 2006 already...seems like the year has really flown by. Work will get pretty chaotic in the next couple of weeks as everyone who has vacation time left scrambles to use it up. Not quite sure why they didn't have their vacation time scheduled like everyone else but there is nothing that I can do about it. People on vacation will mean that we are swamped with work and I would prefer to work under some pressure so I am cool with it. • BRRRRRRRRRR.......

  Went on a sizing up type ride yesterday afternoon to get things fitting right on the Cannondale F29. Made a few adjustments and everything should be ready for a true test now. Getting a bike dialed in over the season is one thing but trying to get it dialed in a couple of days is a real chore. Temps were in the high teens so I was pretty bundled up.
