A couple of hours into my planned four hour Wilderness ride, I was ready to find a couch, warm vanilla latte and some tasty pastry. It's been a long week, in part from continuing to rack miles but more because my crew was away for the week and by today I was sick of the "bachelor" life. I was ready for things to get back to normal, like having my kids pull me outside to play when I am spent after a long ride or Mrs. Snob bringing me back to reality with some chore or responsiblity we need to take care of. I wouldn't call it a rally, but I did finish the time I wanted to get in, helped along the way by Brandon Minks falling out of the sky and giving me a heart attack and crossing paths with
Nate, who was out spinning the park on his
Jeff Jones. It's funny how a little far those little encounters can take you.
I guess it's safe to say the season is here.
MG already put Lincoln on the board and with a local
XC race this weekend and
Corey, Kevin Burke and I heading to Ouachita, we're all about to get busy in a hurry.
For now though, I'm off to play a game of
Sorry with the crew. Bikes can wait.
