Plain wear, old age, overloading, bad store and this winters salt to finish it off.
It's almost impossible to keep my old faithful bike rolling. A push of the pedals result in a lot of bad noise and teeth flying round. I could bring it to a good mechanic and invest in new spokes and gear again but this time I finally got myself a new bike.
Don't ask me about technical details. I do have a daytime job to get lost in those. Over here we have a very well assorted cycle shop. I explained them what I wanted, the amount of money available and they gave me some bikes to try. This one was love at first paddle.
It's not fit to transport anything beside yourself. Got me a new kiddy transporter as well, worth another post.
Remains the question what to do with my old bike. Frame it and hang it, in loving remembrance, on the wall ? Give to somebody with love and time to give it yet another life ?
