Mont Tendre is the highest point in the Jura mountains at 1,679 metres. It's another of those great, steep, deserted Jura roads climbing through the woods - with Alps views at the top.

This is cycling paradise with signed routes everywhere, perfectly surfaced roads up high, and scenery to die for.

I knew it was a stupid idea, but at least I had a backup plan. Oh, and no parking your tank here!
